As the company began to grow it became a pretty big project, so they bought a shop and added a sawmill to produce the wood to make Dale's furniture, hired some craftsmen to help make it, and now they offer beautiful, custom juniper and blue pine furniture to the public.

All of the wood used to make their furniture is harvested locally from private and public lands, utilizing dead or dying trees that need to be removed for fire prevention. They log the timber, then saw it to specifications on their own sawmill, and then it is kiln dried locally. It is then produced into one-of-a-kind pieces of furniture made to last a lifetime. All furniture is hand sanded to a very fine polish and then finished in their woodshop. All dining room table tops are resin poured for a lifetime finish. Due to the uniqueness of the wood, especially the juniper, no two pieces are exactly alike.

Great Basin Art welcomes all custom orders and visitors are always welcome to stop by their shop to look at the wood supply and find that special piece meant just for you.

Custom wood burning or painted scenes are available by contracted artists for your special needs.
